오랜 세월 가족들이 떠나고 노부부만 남아 파도 소리만이 적막을 채우는 작은 섬마을에, 어느 날 베트남에서 온 다문화 가정의 아이들이 새로운 희망으로 찾아옵니다.

섬마을의 노부부는 이미 친가족보다 더 가족이 되어버린 아이들을 위해 학교를 세워달라고 호소하지만, '다섯 가구뿐인 섬'이라는 현실의 벽은 높기만 합니다.

그러던 어느 봄날, 아이들의 간절한 외침에 응답하듯 마을에 반가운 손님이 찾아오며 기적 같은 변화를 예고합니다.

In a quiet, secluded island village where the elderly couples are left alone as their families have long moved away, the only sound filling the silence is the crashing of the waves. One day, children from a multicultural Vietnamese family arrive, bringing a newfound hope to the village. As the children grow up and reach school age, they face a harsh reality—there is no school on the island for them to receive an education. The elderly villagers, who now care for the children as deeply as their own flesh and blood, appeal to the authorities to build a school, but they hit a high wall of reality: the island is home to "only five households." Then, on a spring day, as if in response to the children’s earnest cries, a welcome guest visits the village, hinting at a miraculous change.

Based on a true story that took place on Boleumdo Island in Ganghwa, Incheon, in 2018, this film offers a warm perspective on the universal value of the right to education and the importance of cultural diversity.
