There are those who throw themselves into the ocean in pursuit of becoming one with the waves. This film follows surfer Tim and his team as they chase massive swells, inviting us to witness the exhilaration found in embracing fear itself.

For Tim, giant waves are not simply something to conquer. Even after suffering a concussion in a serious accident, he cannot stay away from the sea. His belief that dying while doing what he loves would be a beautiful fate reveals why he is constantly drawn back to the ocean.

In contrast to the raw intensity of extreme sports, the film’s quiet and sensory-rich cinematography captures a beauty that is both relative and profound, much like the relationship between humanity and nature. As Tim is pulled deep into the heart of a towering barrel wave, time slows, the world falls silent, and everything else fades away.
