어머니가 세상을 떠난 뒤, 아버지와 어린 아들은 사막을 가로지르는 여행을 시작한다. 그들이 향하는 곳은 바다이다. 사막 사람들에게는 오래된 믿음이 있다.
사람이 죽기 전에 바다를 보아야 영혼이 평온한 안식을 얻는다는 것이다. 그러나 어머니는 끝내 바다를 보지 못한 채 세상을 떠났다.

그들은 어머니의 영혼이 깃들어 있다고 믿는 튤립 화분을 들고 바다를 향해 길을 떠난다. 끝없는 모래와 거센 바람 속에서 여정은 쉽지 않다.
어둠과 두려움도 계속 따라온다. 바다로 가는 여행 중 그들은 온갖 우여곡절과 고난을 만난다. 마침내 사막의 끝에서 바다가 모습을 드러낸다.
두 사람은 어머니의 영혼을 바다에 보낸다.

그 순간 어머니는 비로소 안식을 얻는다.

After the death of his wife, a father and his young son set out on a journey across the desert. Their destination is the sea.

Among the people of the desert, there is an old belief: before death, one must see the sea for the soul to find peace. But the boy’s mother passed away without ever laying eyes on it. Carrying a pot of tulips that they believe holds her spirit, the father and son begin their long journey toward the distant shore.

The road is far from easy. Endless sands, relentless winds, darkness, and fear accompany them every step of the way. Along their voyage to the sea, they encounter countless hardships, unexpected challenges, and moments of doubt.

At last, at the edge of the desert, the ocean comes into view.

Standing before the vast expanse of water, they release the mother’s spirit to the sea. In that moment, her long journey comes to an end, and she finally finds peace.
