1598년, 임진왜란이 끝난 직후. 폐허가 된 경복궁. 맹인 승려 혜음은 원혼이 들끓는다는 봉인된 내실로 들어선다.
목탁 소리로 공간을 읽던 그는 깨닫는다.
수백의 혼이 아니라, 마루 아래 묻힌 왜군의 저주 북 하나가 궁궐 구조에 의해 증폭되고 있다는 것을. 혜음은 북을 찢기로 한다.
1598, immediately following the Imjin War. Gyeongbokgung Palace lies in ruins. Hye-eum, a blind monk, enters a sealed inner chamber rumored to be infested with vengeful spirits.
As he reads the space through the rhythmic strikes of his wooden fish (moktak), he makes a chilling realization: it is not the cries of hundreds of ghosts he hears, but a single Japanese drum of curses buried beneath the floorboards. Its resonance is being amplified by the very architecture of the palace. To silence the echoing trauma, Hye-eum resolves to tear the drum apart.

Son Heui Song
A writer and director based in Korea, with a degree in filmmaking from the American Film Institute (AFI). Her musical short films and were invited to prestigious international film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, earning recognition for their artistic merit. She continues to push creative boundaries, most recently receiving the Best AI Micro Series Award at WAIFF Cannes for her AI shorts film, expanding her work into AI and new media.
